Before you start
- Your transactions are in an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx). Only Excel spreadsheets are accepted.
Step by step
- Open Transactions, check the business shown at the top of the screen, and select Import.
- Choose the account the transactions belong to.
- Select Download Excel template. Fill in one row per transaction: Date, Description, Amount, Transaction Type, and for a cost its Category and Business Use %.
- Drop the finished .xlsx file on the upload area, or click it to browse. Only Excel spreadsheets are accepted.
- Select Import. Every row is validated first: if any row is invalid, nothing is imported and the errors are listed so you can fix the file and try again.
- The imported transactions appear in the list, ready for your quarterly update.

Import
To add lots of transactions at once, open Transactions and select Import.

Download the template
Choose the account, then download the Excel template. Fill in one row per transaction: the date, a description, the amount, the type, and for a cost, its category and business use.

Upload your spreadsheet
Upload the finished spreadsheet. Every row is checked first. If any row has a problem, nothing is imported, and the errors are listed so you can fix them.

Import
Select Import. The new transactions appear in your list with their categories, ready for your quarterly update.
