Step by step
- Open Bank accounts from the menu. It lists the accounts your transactions are recorded against, starting with the Cash account EasyTaxer set up for the business.
- Select Add New Bank Account.
- Enter an Account Display Name you'll recognise, the Bank Name, the Account Number and the Sort Code.
- Enter the Starting Balance and the Balance as of Date it applies from.
- Under Account Scope, choose the business the account is for, or All businesses.
- Select Save. The account appears in the list and can be chosen when you add or import transactions.
- Select the star on an account's row to make it your default account; new transactions start with it selected.

Bank accounts
Bank accounts lists the accounts your transactions are recorded against. Here's the cash account EasyTaxer set up for this business.

Add New Bank Account
To add one, select Add New Bank Account. Give it a name you'll recognise, then enter the bank, the account number and the sort code.

Starting balance and business
Enter the starting balance and the date it applies from, then choose which business the account is for, or all businesses.

Save
Select Save. The account is added to the list, ready to choose when you add or import transactions.

Default account
Select the star to make it your default account, so new transactions start with it selected.
What happens next
- The account can be chosen when you add or import transactions. Select the star on its row to make it your default account.
