Before you start
- The quarter's period has ended. A quarter can be sent once its period has ended.
- The rent you received in the period is recorded as Income transactions for your foreign property business.
Step by step
- Record the rent you receive from property abroad as Income transactions, with the business at the top of the screen set to Foreign Property.
- Open Submissions. Your foreign property business has its own row of four quarters, each with its period and deadline.
- Select the quarter you want to send. A quarter can be sent once its period has ended.
- Check the figures: rental income, other property income, foreign tax paid, the expenses for the period and the net profit.
- Select Submit, then confirm. EasyTaxer sends the update to HMRC and shows a confirmation when HMRC has accepted it.

Record your rent
If you let property abroad, record the rent you receive as transactions for your foreign property business. Here are three months' rent.

Open Submissions
Open Submissions. Your foreign property business has its own row of quarters, below your other businesses.

Choose the quarter
Select the quarter you want to send, here the first quarter, from the sixth of April to the fifth of July.

Check the figures
EasyTaxer shows the rental income it will report, any foreign tax paid, the expenses for the period, and the net profit.

Submit to HMRC
Select Submit, then confirm. EasyTaxer sends the update to HMRC and tells you when HMRC has accepted it.
What happens next
- EasyTaxer sends the update to HMRC and shows a confirmation when HMRC has accepted it.
- If HMRC rejects the update, EasyTaxer shows you HMRC's own error message, so you know what to change before you send it again.
